Privacy
This page says what townzips.com records when you use it, and what it never records.
Your location and addresses stay on your device
The ZIP finder asks your browser for your location only after you tap the button. Your device compares it with the ZIP areas it has downloaded; the location is not sent to us or anyone else.
The street lookup works the same way: the street list is downloaded to your device and the answer is worked out there. What you type is never sent.
What Google Analytics records
We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views, how far people scroll, which parts of a page they look at and which buttons they tap. It never receives an address, a street, a house number, a location, a ZIP code you looked up or anything you typed. Google sees your device type and approximate region, as on most websites.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are not tracked with analytics cookies: analytics storage is off by default for them.
Saved on your device
The ZIP finder can keep your last few results (ZIP code and town only) in your browser so you can find them again. Clearing your browser data removes them.
